Hi, we have been using Dickinsons for a number of years both in their shop and the purchase of a new caravan four years ago. We are currently in the process of part exchanging our existing caravan for a new one from Dickinsons. We have always found them to be very knowledgable and helpful.
I agree the website is not the best, but would suggest you give them a try.
How many of you simply had to have a look at Dickinsons website? See they've got a Roadshow coming up in September 2014. But a bit more up to date wishing us a Happy New Year 2016.

Hi Mary October don't know what you post has to do with Dickinsons posts. But in reply to your post YES there are plenty of sites that are open all year round and you can live there all year.
But be careful you don't fall in to the rates trap..
From this year if you live all year round in caravan you wil have to pay rates, but if you own a house flat bungalow etc and pay rates on it and can produce a service bill you can live in your caravan all year rates free. This does not apply to some one doing wardening and the site owner owns the caravan..
I have put our van on a 365 site and could live there for that time if I wished as I produced a copy of our rates bill and a copy of our last gas bill..
If you own a property and rent it get the renter to pay rates to you and and you pay council the rates that way you can prove your a rates payer.
We do a week at home and ten to 14 days at van at the moment but when weather picks up somewhat we may do a month at van between week at home.
You do realise that Mary has been and gone, back in 2014.
