Well I have finally got round to fitting a TV wall bracket in our van as I was getting fed up with it sitting on the flip up table, and it lessens the chance of it falling off.
Well the bracket was £15.99 off ebay TV Bracket, I got the 15mm ply from work, some M6x40mm nuts a & bolts from B&Q for £1.74 and I had the large washers in the shed.
So all in under £18 and 45min job (with 20mth old daughter helping of course lol)

Many thanks for that. I have the bolts and the wood, just need to buy the bracket.
Darn it! Just realised that I don't have a 20 month old daughter. Could you send her up, please?
Hi all, fitted a bracket earlier this year, made a difference to the amount of surface space in the van .
Also got a quick release bracket for the TV which means I can take it off the stand in under a minute (including cables) .
And now all of us can see what on TV .
The TV will have to sit in an alcove and be mounted to the wood wall on one side.
To get the telly to sit in the middle of the alcove, I need an arm that is long enough to clear both the TV and the wall bracket and I cannot find anything.
It rather looks like I will have to mount the bracket onto the caravan wall itself using rawplugs and I would rather not do this.

I am still searching for a suitable bracket.

Only problem with doing that is if you can't find a batten in the wall you will only be fixing to thin hardboard wall and foam insulation which will not be suitable to take the weight of your tv .
I have done the same In my 'van as we had nowhere to stand a tv and my tv didn't have a unit stand I bought the stand off ebay for less than £5 and it does the job, I have had to strengthen the wardrobe wall.
