I have recently bought a van with an alarm in its a concept k.e.l. Alarm.
The person I bought it off said they never used it. However the PIR was working. The PIR now is not working and I've searched all over the van for the control box but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you recon the alarm as been taken out? Thanks for any help.

Would almost certainly be under one of the benches I would say and if not mains connected could have run out of backup battery power.
Did you get a small key with the van and have not yet found out what it's for? If so it will probably fit a small box under the bench and switch it on - provided of course the battery is charged.

I am no expert but that's my thinking.

Thank you for that, there is a small key I haven't used yet. I've looked under both benches but haven't found the box. I'll keep looking.

I'm new to camping so thank you for your advice. All the best.

http://www.keenelectronics.co.uk/conceptinstallation.html

Don't know if that helps? If not under bench, try inside wardrobe - perhaps under the false bottom. The box should have LED's which may or may not be illuminated depending on the leisure battery. Is it removed for winter or run down? If in storage and no access to mains for hook up, try connecting to car electrics via the 7 or 13 pin connectors and run the engine for a while to power up the battery.

Keen electronics are very helpful. Google them for contact info.

Also google " images for concept kel "and at least you will know what you are looking for.
Also you should have remote control fobs?
Good luck

Hi thanks for that I've looked at the image and I have the key for the box and also the fob. Where would the false bottom be? Not sure I've checked there.
Thanks again.

I don't know your caravan, but most wardrobes have a removable sheet or part sheet of plywood on the base about knee level. If you remove it (prise out with flat blade screwdriver )it gives access to the void below which May house a water pump? Or electric fuse box? Or just pipes? Depends on manufacturer. Alarm box may even be there.
Even big caravans can be searched quite easily. Keep looking in all cupboards, high and low and under beds or anywhere else it may be concealed. Unlikely to be in any external lockers though. Did you check "images?" In the pic it is a white box but mine is black in my Lunar and not a "concept"
Handbooks can usually be downloaded online - did you get one?

Are you able to trace the cable from the back of the PIR?

i have one of these and it has a lot of wire feeds to it! Or do you know the location of the sounder (usually behind the fridge to allow sound out via vents)...again trace it from that.
has it got the leg sensor fitted..again there will be a cable feed back to the box.

The alarm horn is often mounted so that it is fitted through the floor so as to reduce the sound deadening effect of the caravan. If you crawl under the 'van you might well spot it and be able to trace back to the control box inside.

When the PIR stops working apparently it needs a new battery fitted to the PIR itself?
