After a bit of advice on the above. At the moment I have a modus awning which I find difficult to put up so thinking of changing to inflatable. Can anybody recommend a good one (or maybe not).

Hi bodger.
We went for the kampa rallye air awning and it was great.
We used it 5 times last year from April until August because we didn't bother with an awning due to the hot weather.
We were having family coming to stay one weekend so put up the awning for the 6th time. After pumping it up for 10 mins we realised that it wasn't inflating. After close inspection we found every inner air tube was faulty. It was impossible to fix.
We contacted the retailer who arranged to have it uplifted and sent back to kampa. 6 weeks later we still haven't heard anything else.
In my opinion the kampa awning is an easy to use awning that saves loads of time IF IT WORKS.

I have modified a Kampa air rally 260 to fit my Conway Cruiser.
I have heard that there have been a few instances of the tubes splitting.
I plan to use it next April so I will have to see if it stands up to the wear and tear.
I keep it stored flat in my spare room and only use the pump supplies with it.
As far as I know the air frame is warranted by Kampa.
Gary from Cross camping may be able to give you more information.
John

What springs to mind here is, have you seen those tents with bendy poles in the wind, I don't think poles that were 99% air would be any stronger and the bendy poles also have guy ropes.

Hi Bodger

We have a Rally Air 390 and have had good use from it so far this year, its takes a bit of practice to get it right but once you have the nack its very easy.

We used to use a fiamma for our weekends for ease but this is quite quick and easy to put up so use the air instead.

We are taking it away for the Christmas holiday up to the Lakes so weather depending well have to see how it holds up.

Personally now I wouldn't go back to a pole awning if I had the choice.

Simon

The air poles on the kampa are enclosed in a hard sleeve and then a further zip up cover they are about 6 inches wide and very strong.
I heard yesterday that Eurovent have started making air awnings a 280 and a 390.
under £400.

Hi, after spending months doing research on these air awnings I finally decided on one, as they're rather new I thought im not gonna spend hundreds on something thats just a gimmick, mind you I had quite a job to find one as im the sort who likes to touchy feely and not just look at brochures, and every dealer I went to had the same story, (can't get them all on backorder) it seems they were or are selling like hot cakes and you would have to order one now for the spring, and that was the same response for virtually all brands, well I finally got to find an actual kampa,, and a few other brands, anyway after more information on them finally chose a eurovent luna as the quality and price seemed more reasonable then the others, have used it twice now in this brief sunny weather and am very pleased, studied the instruvtions beforehand, but its that simple to erect you really only need to know what pressure to put into the frame tubes and thats it, no metal tubes to get mixed up with the only metal tubes are 4 which you would use on a really hot day to open the 2 veranda thing's its trully an actual breeze to erect I think I counted about 3 pjumps to each tube and they were very easy pumps, you dont need arms like popeye, in fact its even easier when you can train up the wife or kids
