1. Do you often use 3 or 4 of the hob burners at once? Or would a double burner do the jobI generally use 2, but if it were to be a double it would need to have enough space to fit two largish pans together.
2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination? I prefer gas
3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough? The sink in our caravan is open...I would like something to close it off, either a glass lid or a chopping board type option
4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal') I would like more...but have a separate fridge in the awning just for beer and wine!
5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable? Not if it took space off the rest of the caravan interior
6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards? Cupboards
7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers? depends on the sizes, they have got to be usable
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback
Thank you

Not often, normally 2 in use.
2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination?
Electric useful if on hook up, but you have to be careful of consumption-especially in France where 6A may be max. We have always found gas fine(never had a van with combi type hob!)
3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough? Not really essential.
4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal')
Would be nice at times !
5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable?
Ours is fine for two-its a compromise in any van.Its one thing you look at when deciding which van to buy?
6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards?
Cupboards-things don't fall out in transit!
7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers?
Not too clear what is being asked !
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback
Thank you

1. Do you often use 3 or 4 of the hob burners at once? Or would a double burner do the job3 / 4 ( meat and 2 veg 1 for the gas kettle )
2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination? Gas only ,( as ralliers electric not an option )
3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough? Non breakable chopping board. ( never understood why a sheet of glass was considered a good idea when travelling over the potholed roads of Britain ) 4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal')
Enough
5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable? Not if it meant a larger Caravan
6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards? Cupboards,
7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers? Are we talking Kitchen, bathroom, fixed bed , underseating ?
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback
Thank you

2 burners is generally sufficient, but on occasion the third is useful.
2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination?
Electric hob in a caravan is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. The restricted supply means that any such hob would just not be powerful enough.
3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough?
Some sort of usable cover is needed, there is insufficient workspace in a caravan without it.
4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal')
People use as much as is provided, it is a fact of life, but the present compromise is good enough. Larger fridge means less space for other things.
5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable?
Not in my van where I have nearly 3feet of hanging space.
6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards?
Yes
7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers?
Where? There is only one drawer in my van and changing the size of it would be a very difficult job.
Your questionnaire ignores the fact that every model of caravan is different, and built with various compromises in place. Some vans get more seats and beds, some more storage, some smaller dimensions, and some are humungous. This mirrors what people require from them.
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback
Thank you

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
