Well after much if'ing & umm'ing we've decided on the Bailey pageant loire. It's just had a service done this weekend & everything has shown up fine on the report. It's an 08 model, one owner from new. I had to do a lot creeping around hubby to get this as he just wanted to buy a new shape hobby & just do seasonal. We even toyed with the idea of a motor home but decided it just wasn't safe enough with the kiddies in the back. Soooo mrs itchy feet here is now on the hunt for a camp site this weekend. We are picking it up from Bridgend, wales & going to do a 1 nighter with the two youngest. Then we'll hopefully be away again on the 13th/14th for my eldest birthday. I'm wracking my brains as to where to take her. She's into science type stuff, museums, animals. It has to suit the younger ones too though. Any ideas of where to go within 2hrs of south glos?

Well Tredegar park cc site would have been nice when you pick it up then you could visit cardiff on the park and ride.
And the house and grounds are lovely.

Have a look around Cotswolds or go down towards bath . Swindon.

As for a site near animals e.t.c. what about the caravan club site at Burford it's right next door to the Cotswold wild life park which is fantastic.

Thanks for the replies. Ooh Cotswold wildlife park. I didn't think of that! I used to be a member up until we went seasonal. Think I need to rejoin as my eldest has now said she'd like to stay at the cc site at longleat. Nora we did Tredegar last year. Not a bad little site. Oh & yes I'm very excited hehe. We won't be taking it anywhere straight away now as hubby is more than likely working Saturday now. That's ok though because it gives me time to sort through our old stuff & the bits & bobs that the previous owners are giving us. They listed quite a bit & told hubby they have more but don't know what it is.

Well I bit the bullet & rejoined the cc & booked into longleat. Trouble is I paid for some of the tickets online before I joined & the rest with tesco vouchers. I've missed out on my 35% discount now. My eldest decided on longleat so I booked online & looked around for a cheaper site but nothing was suitable. Oh well I still got 3 of us in for free
