Just thought I'd say hello after moving up from a tent to a caravan and spending most of my previous time on this website in the 'camping under canvas' forum. Read some really useful information so far. Although I feel like a newbie, we did have a caravan 17 years ago, which was a Monza 1200CT. Now have a Swift Challenger (2000 model) and love it. Its a little bit different to the Monza to say the least! Only managed to use it once so far and can't wait to get away again. Sometimes we just sit in it on our driveway...how sad is that

Not sad at all Kernow63.
Mine is in my workshop and will remain there until next spring when we go out in it for the first trip.
In the meantime I am in it every other day looking at the "view" of a set of double garage doors.
I came over here just a couple of months back from the FC section.

Having a caravan as opposed to a tent is a completely different lifestyle and, for us anyway, it really does mean a different way of thinking about not only camping but the way we travel to the area where we will be camping.
In our FC, it needed time to erect and dismantle and we also could not stop and enjoy its comfort on the way to the next destination.
Now we are looking forward to more time on sites as well as a few leisurely lunch stops on the way there.
Hi & welcome back to caravanning. I don't think your sad at all, I'll be the same when we pick up our new to us bailey on Sunday haha! Caravans stored at home are good for hiding from the kids for 5 minutes
