Thought I would start a Xmas topic if your away post here :).
Myself and family away to lady Margaret c/c site 27th to 1st looking forward to it. 1st time away in winter though :0.....
------------- Loads of CC sites to many to mention.
We'll be over at some point to burgle your house!
Only joking, but please be careful, was reading a local police article about posting your every move online recently, how the crooks know that you have just done your Xmas shopping, that your out on your Christmas party etc, and how easy it is to find where you live by where you check in etc, so they know when your house is empty.
A lot of people check in at home now and the location is very accurate.

Hi gilb I want to go away for a few nights over new yr but just cannot decide where to go. I hope we don't get snowed in. That's the beauty of the cc I suppose, if it's looking bad a few days before you have no deposit to lose.
We are off to the local hospitals Maternity suite sometime over Christmas for a very special delivery of our own
I spent the last two days down on the assesment unit, often sitting with 10 month old grandaughter on one knee, and a maternity note file in hand. I got some very strange looks and peoples comments nudged and wispered to each other indeed, at the ripe old age of 56 they could not quite work out if l was about to give birth or Not!
I must admit l had to giggle to myself

We're off to Longleat. Xmas day in the van. Then Boxing Day at Longleat.
After that we're off to the New Forest for the rest of the hols.
Can't wait. Normally sit around eating and drinking on Xmas Day and Boxing Day. We'll do that on Xmas day, but Boxing Day, totally different.
We are going to Laverick Hall in Lancashire, setting off on 22nd with an overnight stop, back on 5th January. Christmas Day lunch at the Greyhound Halton.
Not in the van but a cottage for 6 nights from the 27th. Need a rest after all the hordes that pass through our doors on Christmas Day. Love it though.
