My caravan is all packed away for winter at my parents house. However we want to stay in it for one night on boxing day but won't be connecting the water up as i don't want to have to drain down again. Does anyone know if we can operate the blown air heating on the Truma combi heating unit without switching on the waterheater?
If you read the Truma book its say the electrical only use the fan must be set to postion 3 auto/manaul and the output level must be set to 2000w and to keep lower surface tempertures always operate with a running Trumavent warm air sytem .If heating from cold start with gas and then switch to electrical donot use 12 volt unless plugged into mains supply for 12volt transformer you can use without hot water so long as all controls for hot water ulta store are turned off when you connect to your inlaws 230v supply Ps are you not keeping your battery charged up in the van by using their supply it only cost about 5p a week as you only start using power when your battery drops to about 10volts the charger cuts in and tops it up to 12 volt. But you will use more if you have it alarmed, alarm drains battery in about 2/3 weeks depending on battery AH and age
