Don't misunderstand me; (most of the time I don't understand myself); There are pro's and con's, but on balance, I'm not really in favour of caravan MOT's - as many have said, I believe more accidents where a caravan is involved are due to bad loading and/or driving - for example, over the trailer speed limit...

Ive seen older vans with a steel chassis rotten, even though the van looked in good condition.

I am fortunate to have a "Newer" van but,i wonder how many people out there with an older van get underneath to check the chassis.

Ive also seen the "A"frame rotten on older vans when i was looking for one for a friend.

I dont think getting people to service their van is the way to go but,perhaps a mot every 2 years.
