hi guys looking for a new porch awning for the van will the traders at the show have offers on or is it worth just buying them from the shop looking at towsure ect a quick pop up one I am looking at
We bought our awning last year at the same show - it was only £129.00 but we have not seen it that cheap since, admittedly it's only been £10.00 more but I'm sure if you were buying a more expensive one the saving would be greater.
We're going to the show to have a good look at awnings and hopefully get a deal. I already know the kind of prices I can get them for online so have something to compare to. Even if we don't buy there I thought it would be a good opportunity to see lots of different ones all in one place, more so than we could at any dealers near us. I'm particularly interested in the Kampas.
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!
As above, do your homework on line before you go,
I done this before Christmas looking to by a slow cooker and a 19 inch wide, under counter fridge in the January sale, 19 inch will fit through the door of my caravan.
Believe it or not in the sale, the cooker went up by £5 and the fridge by £10 ?????????
Good time to buy an Awning get all the prices and play one off against the other
We have found that going to the show for offers is a fools game as the cost of getting there is more than the discount you might receive. Also, with awnings the displays are not that good. Better at a dealers.
Hiya, it appears that it doesn't have to close, however the BBC news states that it may have to be sold to raise money resulting from legal claims, not debt:
Of course, this will most likely not affect this show, or probably any shows as the new owners will just take it over with all ongoing concerns being honoured.
I live not too far away but I should think it will be sold on as it's an important venue being in the middle of the country - Manchester being the next biggest one!!
If it happens, all they will be doing here is selling the buildings to raise capital & then leasing them back, the NEC will continue to function as normal. For Asset rich/cash poor organisations this is normal procedure to raise capital.
Also in 'Exhibition News' it states that there is concern by the council that the sale of NEC group, could be seen as a 'fire sale' for land developers.
