I'm not sure how many of the 70 are in Scotland, will need to look at the sites directory.
I don't think many people are aware that the C.C. actually has some sites that allow tents unless you are a C.C. member?

They do mention it on their website for the sites that allow tents but how many tent campers look at the Caravan Club site for a tent pitch?
It does have a bit more focus than in previous years.

I have spoke to some members at various C.C. sites who frown on tents being allowed.

What else should they do? It is in their handbook and on their website. As to members frowning, you asked the wrong ones. There are a few members of both clubs who think the only way of using the sites is their way. There are thousands of members of both clubs who just want to get on with their time away and could not care how other people choose to do the same.
