We have just upgraded from a folding camper to a sprite major 6 and was just wondering what you can load in the overhead cupboards whilst towing (plates, clothes etc) also can you fill the wardrobes with clothes whilst towing or is it best to leave the overhead storage empty until you arrive on site
Load all your overhead cupboards with whatever you want to put in them, it won't make much difference. Load up caravan how you want it & then check noseweight is ok.
The idea is that everything is where it should be when you get on site so your setup is quick as poss.
I try and keep the heavy items low and central. Items like food, cans, beer etc. My overhead lockers are usually stuffed with lighter items like pillows, plates, crisps etc.
We always travel with clothes on hangers, no problem although some folks report clothes falling off; you can get special hangers to stop this or just put something like rubber bands or short lengths of pipe lagging on the ends of ordinary hangers.

We use an old fashioned wooden clothes peg with a spring.
One at each end of the clothing hanging on the rail and it won't move.
The caravan should be loaded with heavy items low down and lighter items in the overhead lockers. However, it depends on your choice of tableware as some prefer plastic plates, dishes and cups whereas others won't use anything except crock which is much heavier and breakable so the overhead lockers are suitable for lightweight crockery but not heavyweight so it's a matter of what you use as where to store it. We use plastic plates and dishes but only use pot cups as they stain easily as we are mainly tea drinkers. Anything very heavy such as an awning and poles need to be positioned directly over the caravan axle to avoid any excess noseweight (located nearer the front) or snaking (located nearer to the rear. Also it advisable not to exceed the caravan payload figure which if you are unsure is the MTPLM minus the MIRO weights.
