Thanks for all the advice everyone!
Im fully onto researching now, Im liking the Adria vans and wondering what the catch is! They seem very reasonably priced.
As I said it was an easy decision for us for the Adria.
We could buy newer for same budget.
They are more sturdy outside (dent resistant polyester roof and sides).
They are wider than a lot of older UK vans.
They have larger bunks (width especially) than pretty much any Uk van.
The base models like Altea do not come equipped with lots of extras you may not actually really want. youc an add these if you do want them.
Buy from Venture caravans new and you will get a 10 year water ingress warranty, otherwise 6 from Adria as standard and 3 on all fixtures etc.
They tow very nicely on the longer Euro chassis and have an A Frame you can actually stand on to clean the front of the van.
You can mount a bike rack on A frame if you like or tow with bikes on a tow bar carrier whilst towing IF your car will take the noseweight.
All vans potentially can leak, you will not however find many if any stories on various caravan forums like this of such problems in the UK Adria market so far (part of this is they are present in much smaller numbers in UK I get).
Downsides:-
You need to get serviced with an Approved Adria dealer to maintain the warranty.
No electric heating as standard on the Altea, just gas.
Some have reported trouble getting down to around 75kg Noseweight which is what many smaller tow cars will have as max.
The interiors are not to everyone's taste, especially if you like more traditional looks inside your caravan ( we loves it!)
Good luck with your research!

I would agree with sunshinetours comments above ref the Adrias.
As for the nose weight we have found our 542DT to be the best we have had yet. With the Gas, Spare Wheel, Wastemaster and some other bits and bobs in the front locker it comes to bang on 75Kg.
It's very easy to add the electric heating to the van. The dealer will do it for you, or Truma do an installation kit for around £180.
Our Adria has been by far the best van we have owned in all respects and is an absolute dream to tow. Rock steady and you could almost forget it's there.
Another vote for the Adria! We have the Sportline DT, beds are bigger for older kids. You can now get the end bathroom with fixed bunk in a two bunk version as well as the triple I believe. If I'm not mistaken the side dinette comes with a Pullman bunk to make it 6 berth. Love our adria!
Im certainly sold on these Adria caravans!
Liking the sportline ones so we can tow if we need to.Looking at seasonal pitch's and awnings now too.I had no idea you could leave an awning up!!
Could just work out perfectly, what seemed like a crazy idea doesn't seem so mad now, just need to keep to budget....not my strong point x
