Or the average family car and driver

Best to check with the manufacturer

They are not giving us the true story here, it looks like they have got some extra supports under there, there are two underneath the front and something under the axle

Definitely don't kneel on it. All your weight would be on 2 or 3 points. If you're determined to do it, spread the load with a mattress or similar. You can get a good job done by using a car wash brush with a longish handle, wash it with that, then use polish like Showroom Shine or Waterless Wash & Wax from Aldi. You won't need much pressure on that to make it shine.

Look at the pics of the bailey test rig....big blocks under the chassis and axle....I think without the chassis and stays would have bent double ?

A 3foot extension on a spongey mop head, covered with a microfibre cloth should do the trick. You should be able to get enough leverage on it to get a decent shine.

I think the props are to strengthen the chassis. The photo still proves the roof can sustain the weight.

When leaning a ladder on the awning rail of the caravan, or anything else delicate, I usually tape a couple of pieces of pipe insulation to the ladder, at the appropriate height.
This is certainly enough on the awning rail of our Swift Charisma. Doesn't leave any mark at all.
