Hi all
I want to attach some net curtain wire to the wall underneath the side windows in my Swift caravan - is it safe to use standard net curtain hooks?
What else could I use that would be sturdy but wouldn't ruin the walls? The wire would only be used to pull mesh across the windows to act a insect blinds (no blinds fitted already).
Thanks for the help

The wallboard in caravans is only made of very thin hardboard, so not strong enough to be screwed into to take the pull from hanging curtain wires across two points. If you dont mind the look of the things, you could try some old fashioned brassed drawing pins to pin the curtains up, but they are never going to be very effective as fly screens due to the inevitable gaps around the edge, and of course the small pinholes that would be left behind should you decide to remove them at a later date.
You may better to fit proper cassette blinds and screens sourced from a caravan breakers, as these would have the appropiate edging strips to keep out the insects.

To hold the bottom of the curtains you can use strong elastic. Screw small hooks into wood frame at each ends of window & tie loops in each end of thick black elastic cord. Easier than curtain wire.

You can get stick on hooks from most major supermarkets / diy stores .
You can get ones that should be strong but also come off cleanly when required.
Type in " removable stick on hooks " to google lots of options. But read the bit that tells you what it might not stick to.
