I know it's a bit early to be looking for BBQ's but I remember having the same issue last year. We are looking to replace our old B&Q BBQ. It's an old rust bucket now and we have managed to get another year out if it, but, really it does have to go.
However I'm not keen on a BBQ which means I have to crouch down to cook. My back just wouldn't cope with that. I'm also not keen on putting it on a table. We are fighting the urge to buy a cadac, mainly due to the price, we have had an expensive year this year and tbh the oh likes charcoal. So why can you not buy BBQ's with long legs anymore? Is it a H&S issue? And why has B&Q stopped making their cheap BBQ's?
Alison.
Thanks Nutkins. I've been looking too but their not the sort that can pack away tidily. They are called portable as they have wheels on.
But I will look again, thanks
We bought one of those that folds flat. I think we only paid a tenner for it and it works really well. Its only knee height but the portability outweighs that issue imo.
------------- I went to the top of the mountain...and looked over the other side!
Our old rusty one folds flat too.. It packs away and looks a bit like a suitcase. I'm thinking of buying a couple of the round ones that cost about that and perhaps binning them at the end of our week at Whitsun and 2 week summer holiday but it's a waste really but probably cheaper than disposable ones.
I shall keep looking. Maybe we will have more luck when the summer is on its way
I had the B & Q one that folded into a suitcase with folding legs - started out blue before it rusted. It was brilliant for when we had a folding camper. I wish they still did them too.
I now have a cadac but that stays in the caravan on a seasonal pitch as it is so heavy. For the tourer I have a campingaz party grill which is fine height wise. It screws onto a stem which screws directly into a campingaz 904/907 bottle.
------------- Thank you Donnod123

Coleman Evolva (might have more than one shhhh)
And now a VW T25 high top.
Tilley Titan
Tilley Trio
Cobb BBQ
I'm having the same problem, loved the old B&Q ones as you had 3 cooking heights and loads of cooking space which allowed you to cook for loads of people over a long period.
This is the nearest thing i can find to that. link
------------- La Plage Blanche
Camping Solitaire Du lac
Camping Les Bouleaux
Val de Vesle

We loved ours too and only got rid of at end of session because it looked so sad and rusty. The one on the link does look very similar tho so might give it a try
