You can fit a Propex or Trauma system new or secondhand. Could be installed in one of the seat boxes in front of the caravan, runs on gas & electric off leisure battery. If you are on Ehu it seems a rather uneconomical method of heating because you are using gas while paying for Ehu. Without Ehu you will need to charge leisure battery at some point.

More suited to campervans where you might be parked overnight without ehu & driving on in the morning to charge leisure battery.

A fan heater from Tesco will do the job. Blown air heating.

Propex heaters

I quite like the blow heating on mine. It's electric and gas.

For the seasons I go away (April to Oct) the electric heating element works well. Every now and then we might need a bit extra heat so can light the gas but it's only a couple of times a year.

What I do like is in the summer I can have it blow just cool air. The air it sucks in is from under the van so it's a far bit cooler than the internal air.

In regards to retro fitting as system it would be pretty simple if you got all the parts from a breakers. Just a case of bolting it up and cutting holes etc.

I use an oil filled radiator. It can be left on all day and all night without causing a danger !
