Hi. We are about to get our first caravan moving from a folding camper the hitch lock that I have been using is designed more for the Alko range. The caravan has a Winterhof on it, which locks would you recommend without breaking the bank as I will also be using wheel clamps. Thanks in advance
Our previous caravan had a Winterhoff coupling, and I used a Bulldog hitch lock.
This was a good quality hitch lock, in excellent condition and, with our new van having an Al-Ko chassis, I advertised it cheaply at £20. getting no offers, it eventually went to the tip. On that basis, if you look around, you should be able to pick up a good secondhand one for well under £20.

Thanks Bertie. would it fit any Winterhoff
I think so. Ours was a WS 3000 model.
Incidentally, I have a set of Winterhoff friction pads still in their packaging and unused. They are genuine Winterhoff spares and the catalogue number is
6025 Clip-Belag Set WS3000 (>08/2002)
I also have a copy of the Winterhoff instruction manual with plastic-coated pages. I carry these in case I meet someone with a Winterhoff coupling - too good to throw away.

Our Caravan is fitted with the Winterhoff coupling, and we have invested in the Robstop hitchlock. Its a good piece of kit, and specially designed for this hitch. Its a bit of a knack to fit, but simple enough once you have practiced it a few times, my OH can now fit it in a couple of mins, and there is a demo video available on Youtube to show you how.
