We recently purchased a Bailey Ranger 620. First time we used it, it took a while for the water to come through as the pump ( the end that fits in the side of the van) didn't seem to fit correctly and we had to jiggle it about to get it to work.
Second visit this weekend and after filling the aquaroll, attaching the pump, switching the pump on, opening the tap......NO WATER! Pump is making a noise but no water coming through at all!
At first we thought it was the same problem as last week BUT then we noticed that the water is actually coming out underneath the 'van! Had another look with neighbour and it seems that instead of the water going through the hot and cold pipes, it is all going through the overflow pipe. It just continued to do this so we switched off the pump.
Can anyone advise please? People we bought van off (site owner) is going to get his friend who knows about caravans to have a look but that may not be for a week or two so wondered if you very knowledgable ( ;0) people on here to shed some light on it for us.
The drain valve is probably open, it has a yellow handle, adjacent to the pump. If the handle is vertical its open! Push the handle down and it should be fine.
Done it myself as you normally leave it open over winter!

Yellow valve should be horizontal
When priming, are you keeping the hot tap in the bathroom open so air can escape? It could be that it cannot fill the tank as the air cannot get out to it's just going out the overflow.
I had the non return valve freeze one year and that's what made it pop. That lets all the water in the system drain back into the aquaroll requiring it to be pumped all over again.
It isn't draining back into the aquaroll, it's going out through the overflow pipe (clear pipe) and onto the gravel under the 'van. Our neighbour said his did that when he overfilled the tank but ours just continues to empty, that's why we turned the pump off as we were scared of ruining the pump.
When the cold water system is drained to avoid freezing in winter, the drain valve is normally left in the open position so no water remains in the pipes. However, if you have turned the drain valve each way and water still oozes out when trying to fill the system it is most likely that the internal valve has stuck which in turn has detached from the lever itself thus the reason why it's not turning on and off like you think. Try replacing the drain screw as I can't see it being anything else really.
It's likely that the drain valve is simply jammed open. There isn't an overflow outlet as the system requires a pressure being maintained once the system is properly primed.
Check under the van again and I'm sure you'll see that the water is escaping from the drain valve.
The blue inlet/outlet and yellow lever are visible within the van and the clear section drops vertically through the floor.
There is mention above that this valve is normally left open open winter. It should in fact be open to drain the tank whenever you leave site.
Ours does the same, it drains out the bottom of the van for nearly a minute then for some reason starts to fill the water heater tank.( Drain valve is in the correct position)

With our old Lunar, the drain valve would still empty if it was pushed fully down to the base horizontally, the working position was was slightly higher than this at true level, then it was fine, it might be worth a try before you spend money on it.
