Plan to go away for a few days next week, been down to the storage yard today and the van could do with a wash.

Problem is I just haven't got the time to wash it before we go, is washing the caravan on the campsite frowned upon I've not noticed anybody else washing there van on site but we always go out of season.

Some sites will object but I have done it often. Also seen others turn up with vans obviously just out of storage and wash them.

Most campsites will allow cleaning your caravan with a dry wash such as JML 'Instant Shine' or Greased Lightning 'Showroom Shine' but will usually object to you using a garden hose and shampoo as it drenches the pitch and possibly cause slight flooding especially if the site has poor rain water drainage.

Some sites have washing facilities in a special bay especially if they store caravans as well.

Never used a dry wash product I guess they must work !, it's just dust and black streaks. Guess the rain thats forecast will wash the dust off.

Been raving about Showroom shine for the last 2 years on here and once you have used it you wont use anything else its a dry wash polish .

I go with tango really good stuff. designed I believe for helicopter cleaning where there is no water in the desert available. just got two bottles and the shine is fab. stand corrected.

Never had an issue with doing mine on a site, but I do use a sponge and bucket

Don't have an option as ours is on a seasonal pitch where it was delivered by the dealer when we bought it. We also use a bucket rather than a hose.
