Hi
Have just bought our first caravan!! Would like to fit a cassette toilet, have read you can fit the bench type (I know long job!) but can you fit a swivel type, and if so how difficult is it? If you have any ideas/tips for fitting either, I would be very greatful. Many thanks.

I haven't fitted one myself but would say the swivel type would take up a bit less room and is certainly more flexible in positioning / using the unit.

Fitting instructions for the swivel toilet can be downloaded at the thetford website. This will give you and idea of the work involved and templates for cutting doors etc,

You are more likely to get a secondhand bench type than a swivel from a breakers but might not fit your toilet compartment. The swivel type are better for retro fitting.
