The search is over . Am so excited I have been awake since 5am lol. Am nervous too, as we have never towed before, so we are browsing YouTube, here etc gathering up as much info as possible.
The old owner has had her from new, and used to work with Russ co-incidentally & was so helpfull. Van is pristine & comes with everything needed, including porch awning, wheel lock, well all equipment & more!
Just need a towbar now!!
Whoop whoop we are members of the Dark Side & soooo thrilled!
Ha Ha nice too hear someone really excited and pleased with their acquisition even tho I am half way through my fifties I still get like a kid again over new stuff , cant sleep etc

PS She is called Annie (my middle name is Anne, & old owner's wife is Anne)!! Oh she has Tyronne bands too, (Annie not the wife)!! Know what they are now..bless!
We only got ours back in sept, had 2 short trips then and have just had our first trip this year. Love it. Really love it. Rather than spending most of the year planning my summer camping trips and wandering round camping shops I can actually be out there on a campsite instead
Hope you have at fantastic time.
I even towed the van for the first time at the weekend and it was ok. Have previously towed a tt. Lots of useful tips on YouTube. There are at least 2 caravan club videos plus an Australian couple who have done several, their reversing technique was v helpful. Their technique meant I reversed the caravan onto the pitch beautifully first time ever!

Congratulations on your new van! We bought our first ever van last year and put it on a seasonal pitch. Still get excited when we are going away. We love it. Changed to a bigger, newer van this year and love it even more now! Hope you have many safe, happy trips with her.
Congratulations there will be no looking back. We had an Abbey 217 a bit smaller than yours but thought it was a really good sturdy van.
You will be dying to spend the night in it, we keep ours at home and spent our first night in it there, still do use it as a bedroom when all the family come. I will use any excuse to spend time in it lol.
Its a good feeling isn't it. We got our caravan towards the end of last year and only managed to get away once. We are having our second trip (first trip of this year) this weekend and have been looking forward to it for weeks..its been like waiting for the football season to start after the summer break...only far more important...obviously

Can't get the towbar fitted until 1 April as they are so busy..£200 no VAT. Old owner told me he paid £320 ten years ago!
We are going to van on Thursday to be shown how it all works, then we will transfer rest of the dosh. And my friend has years of experience so is dying to see her & add her knowledge.
Hubby is a Man City fan..nothing more important than that

Happy caravanning xxx
Good luck for today..Hope your not too nervous about your *first tow*!
I see you had a Vermont as we do...soooo looking forward to reducing the set up time, The Beast took us a good few hours, lots of swearing & stress lol!
Bet the swearing will still happen...
We got our van last year. Although a tiny caravan, I was so nervous about towing it home. Half way home I finally settled down. The worst bit for us is near home. We live out in the sticks, so narrow bendy lanes. Just take your time.
The swearing will still carry on, putting the awning up!,, lol
