Hmmm. Hundred quid a side, still a bit dear for a bit of foam and a duvet. How do you go on with the centre 'crack'? Unless you sleep on separate beds, you are naturally going to end up forcing them apart surely?
I think i prefer our topper and duvet 'full size' as it were.
Not surprising to see the inventor is a Yorkshireman. Hes selling coals to Newcastle, and sand to the Arabs here.
Duvet for us too. I don't like sleeping bags, my feet panic if they can't get out. We have a spare duvet for the 'van, plus a mattress protector for the cushions underneath.
Duvalay - but decide where you're going to store them during the day.
If you want to store them under the seats, make sure they will fit (the dimensions of each type, when rolled up, are given on their website).
We have the thickest & hence most comfortable, but we keep them in the shower during the day because they are too big to be stored anywhere else in the van.
(Note: This is not compatible with using the shower for its intended purpose)
Duvalay usually have a sale at some point over the winter, but that's a long time to wait.

They are the best thing we have ever purchased for our van. Very comfortable and we now sleep better than at home!

I agree they are dear but worth it for the comfort, if you can push the boat out. The Duvalay sale is usually at the beginning of November and usually offer 20% off, I think.
We use ours as a double, with them both opening from the centre so we can still snuggle up together. We put the mattresses together and they don't move - no centre "crack" noticeable somehow!
Two single sleeping bags for us, OH likes to be fully bagged up, l prefare to use mine open like a duvet, both of us use a sheet and a fleece blanket undernieth, both for warmth and protection, incase we accidently spill any early morning Cuppas on the bed, OH has a habbit of nodding off back to sleep with his drink in hand!

What sense is there in paying a 'new' price for something second hand - of anything??
On the comfort thing, the memory foam topper can only be the same thing thats inside a Duvalay.
I would accept they have to be easier to 'set up', but couldnt stomach the cost, as i cant see anything being any better comfortwise, to what we now have.
On the storage issue, we have a double mattress topper rolled up under one 'bunk', and the pillows/duvet under the other. Cant understand why something as small as a Duvalay has to 'live' in a shower cubicle?
Depends on the quality of the memory foam topper really amd good ones are expensive as well. We had a Dunelm topper, I think it was about £35 and it was rubbish compared to the Raskelf foam.
We store our duvalays under the seats, never had a problem fitting them into either of our vans.
Buying them isn't compulsory I paid £80 each for them which is less than the sleeping bag OH wanted
I agree - There is some really poor so called 'memory foam' available these days. The Raskelf Duvalay ones are top quality and extremely comfortable.
They are expensive and we looked at them for ages before taking the plunge, but I'm so glad we did. They are easy to pack away / store and are extremely comfortable. As others have said you can put them together to make a double and we have found that they do not move about at all.

Personally, I would not describe a "swiss roll" that's 26 inches long and 20.5 inches in diameter as "small".
Duvalay offer 3 different thicknesses of memory-foam base, and (at least) two choices of duvet thickness.
Depending upon which options you choose, the size of the rolled up Duvalay can be anything between 29 cm in diameter - and 52 cm in diameter.
All Duvalays are 66 cm long when rolled up.
One size will easily fit under the seats of a van, the other definitely will not (unless you split them into two parcels - base & duvet, which rather defeats the point of the thing).
I mention the storage issue because someone might buy Duvalays from the website without thinking through exactly where & how they are going to store them.
Duvets for us (we bought 2 singles and a double specially for the van) and bring them home in winter, stored in a vacuum bag to save space. We always use the fleece blankets under the sheets and find these are really useful when we are away, even just to put over your knees when sitting in the awning! They are then utilised to cover up the seating to stop fading when the van is in storage.
Personally I don't like sleeping bags...far too restrictive for me, but each to his own.
Two single 3" memory foam toppers and two single duvets for us, we did use two sleeping bags zipped together but hubby used to try to nick all the covers and pull so hard he would roll me over this way no more rows at 3am lol.
