Hi ive got a starcamp magnum 390 awning but the elastic that goes through the black poles has stretched so the sections dont stay together and I wondered if anyone had come across the same problem if I thread new elastic through the sections when they slotted together and tension it when they are laid out straight would this be enough tension when the poles are through awning material and bent into shape when I put the awning up any help would be appreciated

Just replace the elastic, easy enough to do. The elastic doesn't influence the strength or integrity of the awning when it's pitched, it's fitted within the poles mainly for convenience of their removal and ease of storage.

Thanks for the reply paul I changed the elastic in all the poles today when
I took the original elastic out of the poles it was quite short so I just cut the new elastic the same length and the poles are all sorted now
