Hi have just bought a caravan, is now on a seasonal pitch.. We put up the awning last week, there's a gap over the wheel arch (think 1 piece missing - going to stuff and cover with plastic) My main query though, is - what is best way with draught section and awning overlap?? have had a bit of fun with it (our first ever van - as you can tell)! any suggestions, advice appreciated - Awning to stay up till end Oct (hopefully)

As I understand it, you have a draught skirt with your awning and you have an overlap, is there enough to cut a short length off one end sufficient to cover the wheel arch? This is how mine came and exactly what I did. I then got a length of "figure of 8 strip" to join the two together where the wheel is and used a couple of eyelets from an eyelet set and 2 suction cups from the equivalent of the pound shop to hold it to the side of the caravan over the wheel arch.Figure of 8
If you don't have enough extra you should be able to buy draught skirt by the meter from Caravan shops

Like the look of that.. Thanks for the help..
But my main question was the overlapping between the draft skirt and the awning should it be awning in front of skirt or skirt in front of awning? we have one of each at the moment..?!?!? Or do you have other ways..?

We put ours with the awning in front of skirt.

If you are leaving the awning up all season, make sure you have storm straps and strong pegs - especially if you are not near enough to your van to keep an eye on it in strong winds. We have also added extra poles across the centre of ours to give it a bit more stability. We are 70 miles away from our seasonal pitch and don't want to have to worry every time the wind gets up.

Was going to secretly walk round the site checking out everyone else!
Have put storm strap over. OH made some rather long (foot) thick pegs so hopefully shouldn't move.. we are a similar distance from ours.
Weekends will never be the same!

If you don't have enough extra you should be able to buy draught skirt by the meter from Caravan shops

That's the right item, but paying £6.30 postage to get a £2.40 item just seems so wrong.
