For the first time this I'm using a pitch that has it's own water supply and want to use an aqua roll adapter so I don't have to keep filling up the aquaroll.
my question is how much hose do people have to cover all situations? I'm thinking 10 metres should cover it. Will that be enough?
------------- Never argue with an Idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!!!
Just remember to take flippers with you - the ball cock doesn't seem strong enough unless the water main pressure is low so you can end up wading around your pitch!
I have the aqua roll that does both.simply screw in the ball cock unit which is half way up the aqua roll, connect to water and done. The only site ive used thats fully serviced is cherry tree at skeggy.A nice thing to have. Not many sites have fully serviced pitches. They are good, enjoy.
I bought one from eBay and it had 7.5 metres, which was just enough so 10 metres is fine. I've used it once and it is the bees knees. When we went out for the day I switched the tap off, as it didn't stop filling initially. I was just being extra cautious, didn't want to waste water. Even with switching the tap on/off it is still much easier then filling up the water hog and also not having to empty the waste water is a bonus. The only thing to empty is the toilet. It's like a static without the cost.

a little tip, don.t have the tap open fully as the water pressure will just bend the ball cock, I just let the water trickle in.
Likewise, I never turn the tap fully on and incidently my hose is 8 metres and always been more than enough...Mick
Hello. May I also ask a question on this thread as it is related?
What is the normal fitting at the tap for fully serviced pitches? Is it normally a screw fitting or do they have the 'male' part of the snap-on fittings attached? I hope you get what I mean!
My caravan came with two aquaroll hoses, obviously both have the end connection for the ball cock but the other end is different on each hose! One has a screw fitting and one has a 'female' part of the snap-on fittings!
I will call the site that we're going to visit but I'm wondering if there is a standard fitting? I don't want to always have to carry both hoses around with us!
Thanks for your help!

Usual connection is a 3/4" screw connection I believe (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). The snap-on connection you refer to I've always known as a Hose lock connection (again, somebody correct me if I'm wrong!). As far as hose length is concerned, I have the standard 7.5' type but reckon 10m would be a better option in my opinion. Don't forget to get a decent length of waste pipe...

Yep, all the taps I've seen at sites, including the shared site taps, have been 3/4". You just need one of these to screw onto the tap to then let you attach a Hozelock type click-on end connector.
Thank you Andy JC and LightFantastic, your advice is much appreciated. Have now added a screw tap connector and waste pipe to my list of things to get! Thanks again
