I have noticed on a lot of Olympus vans that the front stone chip protectors look like they have been faded by the sun. Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know if they can be replaced.
I also have a build up of dirt/algae around the edges of one of mine, where it's lifted slightly. Not sure how best to clean this out, thought perhaps a pressure washer?
Ours have changed colour slightly, along with the awning light trim over the door and the wheel arch spats. The same thing happened to our previous Pageant. I use a microfibre mitt and a soft brush to remove the algae/gunge from the nooks and crannies around the van. The stone chip protectors appear to be glued on so would probably be very difficult to remove.
The ones on our Pegasus haven't faded (yet), but as these were intended to be more like a second skin to prevent stone chip damaged and in a lot of cases cover it up, I doubt they will come off clean. More likely they will snap or shatter if you try to remove them.
They were introduced on the 2009/2010 Pegasus and Olympus vans as a 'fix' due to lots of 4x4's flicking up stones and damaging the front of vans too easily.
I would approach Bailey in the first instance and ask what warranty this 'fix' has
