I would try phoning all the farms/landholders in the area and see if they have a corner of a field somewhere they would be prepared to rent out. Bear in mind that most fields don't have an electric hookup or a water tap though, so a lot of your equipment will be redundant, including a fridge. It's not impossible to do without the luxuries though, if you're keen.
A three-way fridge will work on gas, as does the cooker, so that's two things that can work. Loo waste emptying might be a problem too.
You can't just site a mobile home on a random piece of private land without planning permission (which is very unlikely to be granted), the local council will soon be onto it. The op will have to make enquiries at existing static sites. It is unlikely a residential park will take them as usually a new or already sited unit must be purchased.
Some holiday sites will take owner's existing mobile homes but rule is to vacate at least 1 month per year. Fees usually around £3k pa.
Oh your situation sounds so desperate - I can't help, but I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. Don't give up - keep making those calls. And keep us posted.xx
You could try Apple Tree Park on the A38 just after the junction to 13 on the motorway and also to Stroud. Lots of people on there who are building / renovating barges on the canal at Frampton.
From past experience, some sites do take into account the static caravan's age and appearance. We salvaged a potentially costly "eviction" of a 30 years old 'van by repainting it.
I rubbed the paint down with wire wool, undercoated with special aluminium friendly undercoat and glossed it with a roller. It looked as new. This prevented scrapping from a 12 month, year round, (very rare!) Park home site in N. Cornwall. For a weeks work, the situation from a £400 scrapping charge to selling the static van in it's location for well over £40,000
It may be worthwhile doing if your 'van needs some TLC. Sincere best wishes.
