Not sure about this particular model, but with most older vans, you connect the water pump to the water carrier and turn on the 12v system, then the internal water tank (hot water tank?) fills up when you turn on the water taps. It might spit a bit before all the air is out of the system.
I would flush the water system and pipes through with Puriclean before using. Fill water barrel full, put in puriclean according to instructions, pump through into system and leave for a few hours/overnight, then rinse through both barrel and system with fresh water.
Depending on what toilet you have, most of those are similar as well. Blue stuff for the bottom tank, pink stuff or just plain water for the flush tank.
The Caravan Handbook will discuss all these things, well worth the money if you don't know much about caravans.
And after that, you need to read this!
