If your awning floor is water logged all the time i would suggest moving to a drier pitch on the site.
If you raise the floor the water logging will still be there underneath

Presumably its a seasonal pitch? If so and you can;t move then pallets with a covering may be a cheap option otherwise decking squares. Neither will last very long if sitting in water logged ground though.
That's looks good gilly what did the owners say regarding the grass which will get ruined underneath? One site I was on few years who wasn't allowing ground sheets to stay down on grass pitches unless they were totally breathable

Hi Fife-Bloke,
There are a few boggy pitches on the site (ours isn't one of them) and one of the guys had put decking down to combat this. Our problem is the slope so we asked if it would be ok to deck a small area just big enough for our awning to go on and he said yes that's fine. Seasonal pitches can keep their awnings up all season on this site and he doesn't ask for you to use breathable ground sheets. I noticed that he has seeded everyone's pitches that needed it. I think his logic is probably that we will stay once we have paid out to put the decking down!
