I have come across one of these second hand it is a 2009 model. I wondered if anyone had any comments good or bad, for someone very new to looking into vans.
We've got one and are very happy with it.
Bed is very comfortable.
Toilet is fine, but a bit small for a shower room, but we've managed.
If you like lots of work top when cooking the flap into the bedroom needs to be dropped.
Tows well.

Good luck with buying your first van. Cannot stress enough, don't take anyone's word for it, get a damp meter and stick it in every corner you can including lockers.
You need to be sure it's dry, so many heartbreaks on this site with damp vans.
I echo the comments above. Ours is a 2006 model which didn't originally have an alko stabiliser or spare wheel and carrier as standard equipment but they are useful bargaining points if they are not on the one you are considering. Ours also has extra electric sockets inside, an external electric socket and a coffee table (flap type thing) fitted at the front, these were all fitted as extras by the original owner and have all proved very useful. The only thing we haven't got is the door fly screen which may have come with the later models but if you have dogs and kids a fly screen may get damaged easily.
Absolutely brilliant caravans. The whole point of a caravan is something light and easy to tow so you can go anywhere without needing a huge tow car. These vans manage to combine everything you need in a small space yet have everything you need.
They did do GT60 versions in 2009/10 and these had a lot of useful extra kit.
Noticed you have a couple of threads going, is the van you are looking at a fixed bed?
In time to come you may struggle with the kids, our 1st van was a lunar lexon eb and the fixed bed meant that our kids had to share which was a nightmare,
We kept it 3 month and traded in for a fixed bunk van.
Also in my caravan infancy i didn't damp check the lunar and it was wet through in the toilet/wet room (literally)
We only have 1 little boy and there won't be anymore children so fixed bed is not really a problem for us. I'm looking for either a fixed bed or an end dinette.
Navver that's what I was thinking as well, going to do a search on the GT60 now to see what that's like.
Hoping to go to some caravan dealers today. Very excited :)
We bought a new Ranger GT60 510/4 in 2009 and the only minus with it is the non-aerodynamic shaped near vertical front end. I did call it my Bailey Brick due to the shape.Other than that it was trouble free and i would recommend it in preference to the standard Ranger. We have now gone back to Swift which although a heavier van gives us better MPG towing.
When i traded the Ranger in last year the dealer sold it in 4 days, and told me he wished he had more like that.
We've got the 2007 470/4. It has a side dinette and not a fixed bed. Absolutely love it. Easy to tow and manoeuvre. Nothing at all has gone wrong with it and it hasn't had a bit of damp. Towed it to the south of France last year - superb. Touring Scotland next month.
