Do not take the max tow literally Its only a test of traction on a 1.8 hill start it does not reflect the ability of the car to tow at normal road speeds

We have an avondale dart 630-6 twin axle and it tows like a dream compareed to our old single axle buccaneer. The Avondale darts MTLPM is 1500kg,the lightest twin axle we could find. Our towcar is a Renault laguna 2.2dci estate which can tow 1500kg. We had a look on what tow car and a couple of other sites about tow cars and they matched the outfit. We have been advised that with a twin axle you can do a 1-1 weight ratio match as the weight is balanced differently with 2 axles.

Probably not an issue with the majority of campsites but came across one recently that are unable to accept twin axle caravans or motorhomes for that matter. If you visit their website and click on their 'Camping Tariff' for tents and tourers it tells you at the bottom in bold red print.
