Hi all thanks for all your comments on motor movers. we have another little question, what vacuum clear would you recommend for carpeted caravan. we bought a small hand held and it terrible, so could do with some advice from you guys.
We always take a Henry Hoover with us. Takes up a lot of space but we leave it in the car. We tried all the hand hel things etc but kept reverting back to Henry.

We use the Hoover Jovis cordless with the turbo brush, it works really well and it received a good review in one of the caravan magazines recently. Currently "reduced" in Argos.
There was a thread in camping about vaccums.
A few mentioned the ewbank chilli which is what we use for the caravan.
Can be a handheld or upright, is quite light and packs down small.
Check it out on google..

We have the Dyson hand held thingy. Its expensive but we use it in the house as well. We find it great, long attachment goes in the wardrobe and the main bit under a seat.
I bought one from Argos only a few weeks ago which has 1600 watts power, lightweight and stores easily under the caravan seat. You can adjust the power suction and for £24.50 it's really good value which also had some excellent customer reviews.
I wouldn't advise getting any cordless or 12V vacuum (except the Dyson, but that is painfully expensive). They have hardly any decent suction and the battery lasts no time.
We've got one similar to this which works really well, is compact and cheap.

its great, really picks up well. Do this on site as we have drop in carpets so can take them out and get right in to the edges. Works on hard floor too. Quick sweep then Flash spray with kitchen roll on the laminate then drop carpets back in. Cant say I've ever needed to vacuum again when we get home.
Dog hairs, bloody dog hairs, the fluffy retriever pup has turned into a hair making machine, I need a 12v vac for my boat and for the caravan, pleeaase help!
