I am replacing the window frames at the front of my caravan. I am not sure which mastic sealant to buy. I have seen some at b and q which is cheaper than eBay. is the mastic sticky just on one side or both ?

You need to use a non setting sealant like this on eBay 201060785270
Don't use a normal silicone on a caravan as it is not suitable for temperature change uv damage etc, lorry bodies, caravans and motor homes are sealed with a flexible non setting sealant.

If using sealant strip I'd use something like 181396451445 again eBay. I'd only use sealants designed for caravans as household product will not stand the test of time. Main reason being you can't tow your house at 60mph on a road which is far from smooth so you get a lot of vibrations and twisting.
I'd use towsure or your local caravan shop for sealants for convenience also it keeps the small uk business's going.

B&Q one is only 15mm wide. Or do they do a wider one?

I used the W4 stuff from the camping shop. It was about 30mm wide.

Dont use it on a hot day. So sticky.

I put mine in the freezer overnight and kept it chilled, Only taking it out when i was ready to fit it.
