just had a week away and while on site my wife was kept amused by the antics of a couple just down the field from us (hope there not on here ) as for the entire 3 days of there stay they spent virtually the whole time cleaning every nook and cranny of both caravan and car ,at one point the gentleman was seen scrubbing up parts with a toothbrush .never ever seen anything like it as it wasn't even a top condition van to start with .areas cleaned included the inside of the front locker and the engine bay of the car .what a way to spend a holiday

Maybe they just bought it? When we buy a caravan we always gut it out. A campsite is a good place to do it as youre trying it out as well. If they hadnt just bought it I agree, what a way to spend a weekend! But each to their own

I often give ours a quick clean while away, but certainly don't take it down to the toothbrush level !

That might live in a flat and can't clean their van easily.

when we first had our van we watched a couple wipe their van down on arrival, then they got a set of step ladders out, we thought that was a bit OTT. but the last twice we've been away I have found myself wiping the mud off the front of the van...................

Perhaps like this website it's addictive !

I did my windows last time we were away (first time in our new to us van) I always brush carpet, wipe surfaces etc but no more than that....my holiday too!

hi i clean mine when away (not to that degree) its in storage with no water available or electric to give a hoover like to keep it clean.

they might have been giving good spruce up to sell.

WHAT AND THE CAR she was cleaning the outside of the van every day over and over again while the gent was on his hands and knees scrubbing the chrome steps on his 4x4 with the toothbrush ,my missus was trying to watch telly but kept me up to date with a running commentary on the cleaning ,it seems women can multi task easily

not laughed so much since the time when we was in dorset and someone set up a brothel in a tent complete with 3 working girls ,the funniest part was watching the old bill arrest them and then proceed to chain the tent up

The clue is in your discription, "using a toothbrush" they've got a 'new to them' caravan and they're having 'teething problems'!
