You've already made a similar query here
The Status 330 sits on a large base plate/foot which screws to the roof of the caravan. There's a single entry hole within the foot for the cable to pass through into the van. If you remove the 330, you need to be able to 'make good' the roof first, and this is best achieved by using the blanking plate made for the job. You basically seal and fit this in place of the 330's base foot (you must be absolutely vigilant on the proper fitting of this plate to ensure a suitable weatherproof seal).
Because of the way in which the 330 might be fitted (they are easier to locate than the 550), then it's existing position will be a deciding factor as to whether the 550 can be fitted in the same place.
My 330 was fitted directly in line with the wardrobe door, so I had to relocate the new 550's position as there was no provision for the mast to sit properly.
If you are lucky enough to be able to fit the 550 in the same place as the 330 is, then you must still use the blanking plate to make good the roof first, then cut hole for the 550 through the plate.
Now onto the 550. This needs obviously to be located in such a place where the mast can safely protrude within the van, and adequate space for the fixing clamp. The 550 is self supporting, so providing you have suitable depth (cupboard?), you can position it more or less where you want. You do need to cut a 50mm diameter hole through the roof of your van to take the mast and cable. This isn't as daunting as it might sound, but you must prepare yourself with a suitable cutter. The hole needs to be vertical, but the aerial can be fitted where there's a slight gradient on the roof.
Once the hole is made, the base assembly fairly easily clamps in place (sealants, couple of screws to secure etc), then the mast assembled and dropped into place.
Route cable to where you intend to fit the booster/power supply unit (presumably similar location to existing) and job done.
