Hi

Looking to purchase our very first van next year after being avid campers for the last 8!

In this time we are trying to find a van with an end dinette which turns into a king size bed, with a small bunk above. Our main aim is to keep the living area at the front the way it is and have the bed at the back permanently made up. It needs to be a king size as a minimum as we are not the smallest of people, and a bunk above for our daughter.

Most of what we have seen are a normal double size or smaller, considered fixed beds but they are to small for us.
Single or twin axle either way would be fine as it will be sited most of the year.

Any help and advice greatly appreciated in advance.

Try Adria Adora models they have  large beds but I think you will have to settle for one with two bunks and big bed oppisite side which turns in to 4 seater diner.

I shall devour the internet today in search of the adria adora.

Any idea what model I should be searching for, no problem if not as I will probably come across it eventually.

Regards to the two bunks that's not a problem, as we can always use the other one for all her toys etc lol

We have a Challenger 490L 5 berth but the bed at the back (below the bunk) is only 4'6".

Lunar, do a van with a double bed or 2 singles, with bunks on both sides of the van.

Sorry daisbuys miss led you it should be Altea seven or Sportsline dk models no longer make in Adora range if seeking new but try caravan finder for used adora models. My adora danube 2013 has two rear single beds which can be pulled together to make a large double or small king size with plenty of room either side but no bunks some adria models past and present are lot wider than British vans and 27ft plus on single axle. Her ladyship and my self would never win slimmer of the year award, but we never have any trouble sleeping single or double, I hope you find your perfect van good luck in your search.
