Bought a two year old Lunar Venus today!! Good deal, all checked and sound so thanks for advice. Suits us in every way so after looking at loads over past two weeks, we are happy bunnies. As we are first timers, we are looking for advice about what you pack to take each time and what stuff can you leave in the van? Mostly pots and pans, bedding and general bits and bobs. I know we have to watch the weight. Thank you.
Congratulations! We got a van just over 18 months ago after tenting for a number of years! Was a good move for us as it extends the season. You'll have a lot of what you need from camping (assuming you have given up tenting as you have an Icarus as your outfit). We keep ours in storage, so leave all pots pans, awning chairs etc in van. Pack car with clothes, toiletries, shoes etc (as though going to cottage) and then just pick up van. If you have van at home it might be easier on arrival to have the Inside stuff in the van and the outside stuff in the car though!

We try and leave as much as possible in the van so when we want to go away we just need to pack clothes and some food then away we go !
All pots, pans, toiletries, chairs, awning etc all stay in the van. We often book last minute so this works best for us.
Moi aussi!
As first timers it is worth getting some levelling ramps (or make some from wood) also some blocks of wood are useful to put under steadies etc if ground is soggy.
Hopefully you will already have them, if not a good hitchlock and wheel clamp-most insurers give a discount for these.
Hope you enjoy your new toy!
