does it have to be plugged in for it to work or does it charge via the lighter port in a car?

Also how long would they last?

Would it be better to use a gas fridge I have at the moment, it does not currently work and I wouldn't know where to start to look for the problem?

Has to be plugged in to work, and they are very "power hungry" so will flatten a battery very quickly.

Get a local caravan repairer to look at your current fridge.

As above cool boxes are limited to the battery you use to power it. The car battery may not last overnight. A large leisure battery may last longer but 24 hours maybe its limit.

Does the fridge light? Thats about as much as you can check really. After that its a specialist job.

We had trouble with our fridge last year and took it to Stewart Langdon's and they were brilliant. Fridge fixed in a day and cost wasVERY reasonable. Would recommend them every time.
