We have a 2008 460/4 bailey Ranger series 5 which we have just bought a power mover for and which we are going to install ourselves. The query is really on the location of the electronic control box which should ideally be behind the battery box in a storage compartment. The problem is that behind the battery compartment is the gas fire which is accessed through a hatch in a wardrobe so it cannot go there. I just wondered if anyone had a mover in a Bailey Ranger like this and if so where was the electronic control box located.
We had our mover fitted by Autowfix last year (Bailey Olympus) and they fitted the control box at the bottom of wardrobe, behind the fire, exactly as your own proposed location.
I did wonder whether it was a suitable place, given that it gets hot in there when the fire is on, but it doesn't seem to have done it any harm.
The main drawback is that the location makes it hard to see the various LED lights on the control unit , which might be necessary if they were displaying a fault code.

We have a Ranger 460/4 and the control box is mounted behind the fire under the wardrobe. It's the easiest place as it's close to the battery box and the master switch is fitted in the battery box above the mains lead. The heat has not been a problem.
Thanks to both for replies. When you say it is behind the fire under the wardrobe do you mean at the bottom of the wardrobe but still within the wardrobe space and not under the wardrobe in the fire space? I am waiting for the mover to arrive, hopefully tomorrow, so am not sure of the ECB dimensions but there is not a lot of space left in the wardrobe once the hatch is open which is what is throwing me at the moment.
Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.
Ours is fitted to the caravan floor, immediately behind the fire.
It would have been more visible screwed to the wall - but the van is still under warranty and attaching things to the wall is a no-no.
I fitted a Solar charge controller to the wall in the upper wardrobe space - but I used a plywood back-board fixed to wall with grip fill, then screwed the charge controller to the wood,
Bailey can't wriggle out of any warranty claims (not that there's likely to be any, given that the Alutech )walls have no wood in them) by moaning about screwing into the wall itself.

HI, our bailey ranger is an older model and control box is fitted onto the wall just under wardrobes removable base this leaves max space from rear of heater and has worked fine, ariel sticks out about 6 inch from the box
