a couple more.. one the same place looking ahead..
this one another location but the same trip
i am a wild camper.. just tour around stopping wherever possible.. had the van a couple of months done three trips and covered around 750 miles.. not been on a site yet..
Yorksire Dales.. North Pennines and a little jaunt around the East Anglia coast.. off for another go this week.. maybe further north than the dales.. Castle Barnard maybe up as far as the border..
the plan was a small caravan and hook up and go wherever whenever.. the main downside.. 18 mpg.. ouch..
those are just stop and look at the scenery places.. i didnt overnight in them.. some of the roads are a bit narrow and bumpy and another use for the motor mover is turning round if you gets stuck.. :)
thanks.. keep liking them and i will keep posting them.. he he
a couple from our North Pennines trip
this one near the Holm Moss transmitter.. we did overnight there..
and this one an interesting view of the M6.. some little road with a high bridge i cant remember exactly where..
part of the touring fun is taking photos of the more interesting places you see..
my next trip i think will be 200 miles straight up the A1 and across to the top end of the Kielder forest and spend three or four days taking the scenic route back home..
That is not the M6 it is the M62 at Scammonden from the tallest single span bridge in The UK .

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
Great photos we used to wild caravan too, had some great times especially in Scotland where there is an amazing amount of brilliant over night stops. Just going back to that now but this time with a campervan.

thanks for the correction and the additional information.. the M62 it was and now i know where the bridge was.. its looking a bit neglected and rusty now..
scotland is brilliant (midges and weather apart) we have covered most of it a few years back with tents and a small boat we took up there on a trailer.. tis a long way away though it needs a couple of weeks setting aside for it.. he he
we once spent a month doing europe in tents.. a 5000 mile round trip not counting the ferry to spain.. nine countries in all.. northern spain is like scotland with bigger mountains and sunshine..
i just googled that bridges.. it looks a lot more impressive from the side view.. from the top its just an old deserted road going seemingly going nowhere..
I got it wrong. It is not the highest single span bridge. However, when it was built it was the longest single span bridge in the world and is still the longest single span bridge in the UK.
