We bought a 2005 challenger 490 last week and I was really happy with it, the condition inside was excellent and bodywork tyres etc was also in really good condition. However, when my husband took me to the storage park after he'd moved the van I noticed that 1 front blind was silver where the rest was bronze. It was only after I stood outside pondering that I realised the actual window had been renewed and had a grey tint instead of brown. My husband said it doesn't matter but it's really playing on my mind. Shouldn't the dealer have pointed this out? I can only assume the blinds were up all the time. I have never noticed odd windows on any van before. Am I going to be happy with this?
Very stressed
I would forget about it after all i dont think anyone would notice unless you pointed it out.
you didnt notice when buying the van, so i doubt anyone else will, and how often do you close the blinds.
If it continues to bother you these people may be able to help window tint link

I would say the dealer should have said some thing about it.You could approach him and say your not happy with this and, if he gave you a guarantee it might be covered with that.
we had a different tint on one window on our first caravan, we only noticed it on about the 3rd trip out!! just showed it had been replaced at some time....rather that than a defective window.
didn't bother us in the slightest.
At the end of the day though it's personal preference.
We have one on the front of our Elddis that is a different shade to the rest.
The difference in colour wasn`t noticeable for the first 3 or 4 years but became more apparent as time went by. Funny thing is, the caravan was new when we bought it, and the window has the CRIS number etched into correctly.
