We going to Brokerswood, westbury, wiltshire. 2 weeks tomorrow from kent. Any advice on best places to stop to refuel on way. We have never towed out of kent before so longest trip away. Would appreciate any advice on best route. What services to use, best times to travel anything that would help really.

It cant be more than 150 miles or so one way, so just fill up before you load up, and again before you hook up to return.
Given the general route, id be surprised if there was a 'best time' outside the early hours of the morning. Which woudnt be for me for such a shortish journey.
Not Ness just to refuel but also to stop for hubby to have a break as I dont drive he does it all. I know it not a massively long journey but he will want a break at some point and kids will need wee stops!

Theres nothing wrong with asking advice. Theres few on here who havent.
No-ones having a go or anything. There will be services on the way for rest stops. Id take a few sarnies and some drinks to save money. If you really have to stop where theres no services due (youngsters busting for a pee etc.) pull of the main road or into a layby and let them use the van loo.
It wont harm unless its brimming - which it shouldnt be.
M25 M3 A303 A36 Bath direction. Best way in to the site avoiding the narrow single track lane is B3099 to Dilton Marsh. As soon as you pass under the railway bridge at Dilton Marsh turn left through Penleigh.
A couple of miles on at the cross roads the site is in front of you.
To find the b3099, as you turn left off the Warminster bypass onto the a36 you will shortly come to a 3 lane down hill section - black dog hill. The right turn is at the bottom just before the railway bridge.
Stop at Fleet services on the M3. You are about 1 hour 20 mins from the site from there.
The kicking donkey pub is currently closed seeking a new owner. 1/4 mile further on is the half moon or just on the a36 is the Bell at Standerwick.
It also pays to view the last 100 yards on Street-view to get an idea of what you are looking for re. the site entrance - actual location/width/turning etc.
