Needing some help. We are needing to replace tyres on our Bailey Ranger 620/6 series 5 twin axle.
Having phoned a few local tyre dealers we are struggling to decide.
We have been offered Trailermaxx (which are on van now) or Security tyres (very slightly cheaper).
Can anyone advise, as not a cheap purchase with 4 to buy.
Any recommendations welcome.
Regards
Milly
Get a quote from etyres, they are often cheaper and fit at your premises, that way the dearer tyre from your local supplier may be cheaper from etyres without the bother of taking the caravan out.

If you are unsure which ones to have fitted then ask in which country the tyres were manufactured which is stated on the tyre wall. I had a choice of either HANCOOK or AVON commercial tyres which I decided on the latter as they were 'Made in England'. That's how I made my final decision anyway.
That's a shame, I thought that might be easier and cheaper than trying to get a twin axle outfit in to a tyre depot which is probably surrounded by badly parked cars. Tyresonthedrive.com are supposed to be good as well but I just checked and they only cover the north of England.
I would guess your current tyres are Maxxis CR965 (Trailermaxx model).
I found that Event Tyres where without doubt the best price for supply and fit of these.
Alternatively, if you're having trouble finding a supplier then why not buy on-line and use a local dealer to fit. Oponeo best price for supply only.
There's actually a very limited range of manufacturer of the size tyre you're likely to need.
Hi Rob
We do have a few mobile tyre fitters in our area so we won't have to move van off drive for fitting.
Choice of tyres seem very limited tho, and looking for best deal.
How do you know if tyres they are selling you are any good.
Anyone actually heard of Security Tyres ? Are they OK, as cheaper than Trailermaxx.
Have you tried Tyres on the Drive they've just fitted two new tyres on our Bailey Pageant, excellent service good choice of tyres too.

Thanks Admiral, tried Tyres on the drive, but not yet in our area.
Have just had 2 local quotes:
Trailermaxx tyres at £67 each fitted.
Security tyres at £62 each fitted.
Which to choose.
There isn't much choice in this specific tyre, and these are the Maxxis CR965 (Trailermaxx) as I thought.
Personally, I'd get the Trailermaxx since they are the same you currently have fitted; never heard of the other brand and for the extra few quid, peace of mind in my opinion.
So a set of Trailermaxx tyres will cost an extra £20. If you replace them at 5 years old that will be an extra cost of 2p per tyre per week. I think I would stick with what I know and pay the extra for the Trailermaxx.
I would first give Bailey a ring and ask if they can recommend a more common alternative size tyre.
To me your tyre size is a 'non preferred' size so little choice and not cheap, also four of them can carry 2.6tons! doubt you need anywhere near that capacity? so leaves a lot of possible cheaper choices
Oponeo are very good I ordered two trailermaxx for our ranger last year ordered on the Friday delivered the following Monday morning
£110 the pair fitted free (did them myself at home )
