They are all pretty much the same. Just stop at the next one when doggy is dog tired and watch out for caravan signs as you enter. Some share HGV, swome have dedicated caravan parking.
Membury will be the first one you come to after entering the M4, the next one is Leigh Delamere near Chipenham. Not much difference, allocated caravan parking at both but the truckers sometimes invade the caravan space. Try not to leave the van unattended as there are opportunists in Transit vans often cruising the service areas......Mick.

Very true, nearly had mine taken at Reading services Westbound, and the following year, after going for a rest break in relay saw one taken from the truck park. Total time for pull up to pull off three minutes. They were away as I was getting through to the police, who arrived 20 mins later. We now go for toilet breaks singly and put hitchlock on when parked up. I know they can be removed but these opportunists are not going to bother if it can't be unhitched in seconds. That services is very near a junction so they are off the motorway in minutes, and the notice saying number plates are read is BS. Maybe at the petrol station but nowhere else.

As above the services at Membury are good and have lots of room. Personally I would choose this one over the one at Chieveley (J13 of M4 with A34) as this can get busy and doesnt have as much room. We always try and keep one of us with the van at the services but if we both have to leave then I always put the wheel lock and hitch lock on. It can be a bit of a pain but worth it if it stops the van disappearing with all our stuff in!!
