We are now a week near the New Forest off EHU.
The battery runs down from about 12.8v every day, at about 9:30am to about 12v with no TV (or 11.8v with 4 hours of TV).
It drops to 12.1v without any usage around 6pm.
My problem is still interpreting the built in display in the caravan. At one point, in the dark, it went up from 12 to 12.1 after watching an hour of TV. Is there any point in using the meter? Everything is working fine and I feel I should just ignore the Meyer.

Can't seem to attach a file but following are my readings (date, time, reading) for the week.

The voltmeter is very often fitted some distance from the battery. This will measure the voltage where it is and not at the battery terminals. If you are drawing no load this will be accurate but if you are drawing load there will be voltage drop in the cable between the battery and the voltmeter giving you a misleadingly low voltage reading.

You need to check at the battery terminals.

Also when drawing power, the battery voltage will drop anyway. If you are going to say 11.8 is flat you need to know the conditions under which 11.8 is flat, eg temperature and load etc.

Yes, just ignore the meter and enjoy your holiday. A volt meter is a pretty crude method of guessing battery charge at the best of times. When the TV finally packs up, visit a site with EHU for a couple of nights for a recharge. Unless of course you're hoping to get off the site with a mover!!
