Agree with above, although my corner steadies are attached to chassis .The jockey wheel is there for support and levelling. You would not believe the amount of people on our storage site who have all legs down and jockey wheel up when not in use.I have seen people on site take out windows and rest them at side of van,and even remove locker cover. But im sure the yellow van for nutters is not far behind.Who taught these idiots.Maybe someone who repairs caravan floors

Apparently there's a school of thought that says the jockey wheel shouldn't be used to support the caravan, just four steadies and the wheels. Anyone agree?
I hasten to add I'm not of this number.
I used to have to take the jockey wheel up in the manner you mention above, or it would go flat - pneumatic, of course. I've since gone back to a wider, solid jockey wheel, which is used to level the caravan and stays down when sited.
