Hi there, we are looking at buying a porch awning for our van we are looking at two models, the leisurewize pegasus 260 and the Kampa Gala 260, but not sure which to go for, both are £399 from our local caravan dealer
The Kampa comes with steel poles so you might have to pay extra for Aluminium? They both seem to have the same features although the Kampa says you can drop the front down half way with a veranda pole - can you do that with the Pegasus? We like that feature on our Towsure awning. Are they on display - I would feel the fabric and look at the pole structure to see which I like best.
We've bought other stuff from Obelink in the past - very good service, and 3 days delivery.
The awning appears to be their own version of a Sunncamp inflatable - not top quality, but still decent (and at a much cheaper price than the Sunncamp version)
As I mentioned, I'm certain that it's a Sunncamp - badged for Obelink (who are a massive player in the European camping market)
Not that it probably matters - they all come from a couple of factories in China. We've just bought a Vango Varkala airbeam awning - and that's from China, too
I think the only downside would come if there was a problem that required sending the awning back. Obelink charge less than £9 delivery - but arranging your own carriage back to Europe is ridiculously expensive.
OTOH, there's not much to go wrong, and if it needed replacement inner air tubes I bet Obelink would just send them out without quibbling.
I notice that it also comes with the roof beams - which some of the cheaper ones on sale here charge extra for.
Update we have decided to go for the Kampa in the end as the alloy poles on the pegasus seems too thin and the material on the Kampa seems better quality, thanks for all those who have replied.
