Hi, we are new to this forum, having had a fc, we are now the proud owners of a swift jura 2011. We have booked the Loch Ness Shores site for next weekend. Its on the east shore of the loch, and I'm not sure about what the roads are like. Could anybody recommend a route coming from Central Scotland?
        thanks.

Hi Jinty 15, for me with the van I would take the A9 to Inverness, then the A82.If i only had the car and could enjoy the view (someone else driving) it would be A84 A85 then A82.I use the A9 a lot.

Enjoy the drive which ever way you take.

All the best,

Andy

If you are going to the C&CC club site at Loch Ness Shores then the A82 from Inverness will take you on the north / west of Loch Ness and you will be on the wrong side of the loch!

Getting through inverness can be a busy but from the A9 it's the only diect way to the site. You could go from Inverness to Fort Augustus on the A82 then back down the other side of Loch Ness but is will be a long trip.

There are directions on the site web page, these are - From A9 approach via Inverness, take B862 to Dores, then R on B852 to Foyers. From Fort William leave A82 at Fort Augustus, turn R on B862, 1m after Whitebridge turn L on B852 to Foyers Foll signs to Lower Foyers/Loch Ness Shores

Have a great holiday and I hope you bring better weather with you!
